Propwash Sea Level Easy Answer RN, CGC "Quip" is our newest addition. He came to our home as a 7 month old pup.  We have been enjoying watching him explore his new world.  He has developed confidence as he socializes with a variety of people, dogs, sights, sounds and experiences.  One of the first things he learned is how much fun it is to play tug with us and wrestle with Connor.  Connor has been very patient and a good teacher for Quip, although he's probably also teaching him how to be a border collie in an Aussie body!

Quip quickly overcame his initial shyness with new dogs as he participated in Play Group and now plays rather rough as well as tries to keep the other dogs in line - as any good herding dog should ;-) .  Quip is also showing great promise in agility. He has figured out the weave poles and is actually doing the advanced sequences and courses in class. He participated in his first agility trial in the fall of 2005 and had a wonderful Novice Jumpers run.

We are dabbling in the breed ring this spring and have found a place to practice agility since relocating to VA.

Quip received his AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certification in 2004 and attended his first couple of breed matches. His agility training is coming along as is his obedience work. He performed a Novice run through as part of the OCOC obedience demo at the Topsfield Fair and participated in a Rally-Obedience seminar in the fall of 2004.  During 2005 Quip's obedience training is continuing and he participated in a few obedience matches to get him used to new venues.

Quip received his Rally Novice title in the fall of 2005, received his first Group placement at an AKC breed match and won his first ASCA breed class during the winter of 2006.  He got his first Novice Agility Jumpers (NAJ) leg with a 2nd place in the Spring of 2006, his second NAJ leg with a 1st place in the fall of 2006, and his first ASCA CD obedience leg with a 4th place and a score of 192 in July of 2006. Quip finished his Novice Agility Jumpers title in the spring of 2007 with a first place and picked up his first Open Agility Jumpers (OAJ) leg during the summer of 2007.

Quip has tried his "paws" at herding and shows natural instinct - he just has to learn the rules of this new "job".  He had previously enjoyed his summers in the pool retrieving water toys and paddling around to keep cool, now he enjoys herding the ducks and geese in the local Virginia lakes.
